CAN YOU HELP??
THE DRAGON BOAT RACE AT BEWL WATER ON THE 11 SEPTEMBER.
WE NEED ANOTHER SIX ROWERS. YOU NEED TO BE REASONABLY FIT AND WILL NEED TO RAISE A MINIMUM OF £100 SPONSORSHIP.
THE MONEY RAISED WILL ENABLE US HELP DISABLED CHILDREN AND ADULTS HAVE A HOLIDAY AND THEIR CARERS TO HAVE A PERIOD OF RESPITE WHILE THEY ARE AWAY WITH US.

A CHRISTMAS BALL
TO BE HELD ON THE 20 NOVEMBER AT THE NEW LANGTON VILLAGE HALL - DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
We have had a busy few weeks fundraising.
We held events at the Speldhurst and Langon Green Fetes in Kent. Which were both very successful.
On the 11th July we had a group of volunteer runners take part in the London 10K run. They did an amazing job and all finished the course.
We would like to thank them very much and look forward to receiving all their hard earned sponsor money!!
GROUP HOLIDAYS
Our holiday places for all the 2010 holidays have now been filled. Please contact us if you would like to be sent a brochure for 2011 which comes out in late November.
GRANT PROGRAMME
The Grant programme IS NOW CLOSED.
If you have been awarded a grant and are looking for a holiday we have a link with Haven holidays who are offering a 5% discount on all 7 day holidays. Or 10% on short breaks. Please contact Bridget at the 3H Fund office for details.
REMEMBER A CHARITY
You may have heard that 3H FUND has joined with over 140 other charities to form Remember A Charity consortium www.rememberacharity.org.uk which aims to encourage more people to include their favourite cause in their will.
Legacies are a vital source of income for charities, but currently this is generated by only a small percentage of the UK population. However, the good news is that comprehensive research commissioned by Remember a Charity in 2008 revealed the 35% of people would consider including a gift to charity after providing for their family and friends.

One of our volunteers is appearing in the media at the moment after taking part in a "Video Wills" Story.
The story is based on market research, recently commissioned by Remember A Charity, that revealed over half of the UK population would be interested in creating a video to explain their formal written last will and testament, and to leave a final personal message to their loved ones. Whilst also remembering their favourite charity or charities.
